கோயமுத்தூர் மாவட்டம் இயற்கை எழில் சூழ்ந்த மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலையோரம் உள்ள மேட்டுப்பாளையம் பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் சமூகம் மற்றும் பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின் தங்கியுள்ள கிராமப்புற மற்றும் மலைவாழ் மக்களின் சமூக மேம்பாட்டிற்காக தமிழக அரசு கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரி தொடங்கப்படுவதாக சட்டமன்ற பேரவை விதி 110-இன் கீழ் 23.08.2016 அன்று தமிழ்நாடு முன்னாள் முதல்வர் மாண்புமிகு டாக்டர்.செல்வி.ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா அவர்களின் அறிவிப்பிற்கிணங்க உயர்கல்வித்துறை அரசாணைப்படி (நிலை எண்.196, நாள் 07.09.2016) 2016-2017 ஆம் கல்வியாண்டில் பாரதியார் பல்கலைக்கழக இணைவுடன் இக்கல்லூரியில் இளநிலை ஆங்கில இலக்கியம் B.A.(English Literature), இளநிலை பொருளியல் B.A.(Economics), இளநிலை வணிகவியல் B.Com. ஆகிய மூன்று பாடப்பிரிவுகளுடன் 29.09.2016 அன்று காரமடை அரசு மேனிலைப்பள்ளி வளாகத்தில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. 


2017-2018-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டில் இளநிலை கணிதவியல் B.Sc.(Mathematics),மற்றும் வணிகவியல் மற்றும் கணினிப்பயன்பாடு B.Com(CA) ஆகிய பட்ட வகுப்புக்கள் கூடுதலாகத் தொடங்கப்பட்டதுடன் 2018-2019-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டில் இளநிலை கணினி அறிவியல் B.Sc.(Computer Science), சுற்றுலா மற்றும் பயண மேலாண்மை B.A.(TTM) ஆகிய பட்ட வகுப்புக்கள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. தொடர்ந்து 2019-2020 -ஆம் கல்வியாண்டில் இளநிலை இயற்பியல் B.Sc.(Physics), இளநிலை வேதியியல் B.Sc.(Chemistry), மற்றும் முதுநிலை வணிகவியல் M.Com. ஆகிய பட்ட வகுப்புக்கள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன.

College History

Government Arts and Science College located at kuttaiyur, 5 km from Mettupalayam in Coimbatore District with the sylvan surroundings of Madheswaran Temple hills. It is situated over a sprawling expanse of 5.46 acres of land which impact quality education with social, moral and ethical values to empower rural and tribal communities in the Mettupalayam region. The college was established by our former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalitha on 23.08.2016(Higher Education G.O. 196, 07.09.2016). The college started in 29.09.2016 and functioning in the Karamadai Government Higher Secondary School Campus with the introduction of three Under Graduate courses viz. B.A.(Economics), B.A. (English), and B.Com.



Later in the year 2017-2018, B.Sc. (Mathematics), & B.Com.(Computer Applications), courses and in the year 2018-2019, B.Sc.(Computer Science), & B.A.(Tourism and Travel Management), courses were introduced. During 2019-2020, the Science stream subjects B.Sc. (Physics)., B.Sc.(Chemistry), and in Commerce stream subject Post-Graduation M.Com. were introduced.
